I just read an article on 365Gay about how Portland, Oregon just elected an openly gay mayor. Sam Adams is the first openly gay mayor to be elected in a major US state. This makes me so happy! I’m not one of those in the gay community that wants us to take over or anything, but I do wish for a balance in society between people of different sexual orientations. So I’m absolutely positive that this is TMI for my blog, but it’s on my mind, so here you go. I’ve been having trouble with my digestive tract for a few weeks now. It hurts from my throat all the way down to my uh….yea, you know. So tomorrow I have to go in and let them run a tube down my throat and up my (you get the picture). I’m not so much worried about the actual procedure, but today is the prep. Now, for anyone who has ever had a colonoscopy, you know what I’m going through right now. It is absolutely horrible. I’ve never felt so disgusting in my life. Imagine drinking a gallon of liquid ex-lax that tastes like salty piss and not staying off of the toilet for more than 10 minutes in the last 3 hours…..blllaaahh…bluh!!! (not sure what that was) Ok, enough. Sorry.
Tree On Roof May 12, 2008
…that title should be self-explanitory. I came home last night and there was a tree….on….my….roof….I was not happy about this at all. I pitched a gay little hissy fit and called my landlord this morning. Thank God the tree removal people got here early and now it’s gone! Yay for no tree on the roof!

Wow. To all 2 of my readers, Catie and Jade, I’m sorry I haven’t posted in like two months. This semester has been so crazy. I don’t think I’ve ever been this stressed out in my life. So let’s see, what has changed since my last post….OH!
Ok, so “Jim” and I are still together. (Not sure how he feels about his name being posted in public, so his name has been changed to protect the paranoid.) He is absolutely wonderful. I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am with him. Our first date was March 1, so we’ve been strolling along now for over two months. It’s been really strange dating again. Well, actually, I don’t think I had ever been on a REAL date until now. You know, the kind where they open the door for you and pay for stuff..lol. That sounded really self-centered…..oh well.
I have become absolutely SICK AND DISGUSTED with being a pre-nursing major. Even though I wasn’t in the program yet, I was taking some pre-requisite classes to be eligible. Intro to Medical Health and that sort of thing. I have been miserable all semester. SO, without further adue, I decided to change my major to something I always wanted to do but never had the guts. I am now a Theatre & Performance major….YAY!!! I was in two shows this past semester, On Dragonfly Wings and Mr. Marmalade. I had soooo much fun. It was as if I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Catie and I got to see RENT a few weeks ago!!! OMG it was amazing.
I’ve been really sick lately and they’re not sure what it is yet. For those who pray, please send one up for me. I’m in constant pain and it’s really starting to wear on me. I wound up in the E.R. at Memorial Hospital on Friday night I was hurting so bad and my throat was closing up.
I’m going to be beach for a WHOLE week with “Jim” on Tuesday!!!!! I’m so excited. This starts my summer trip cycle. Next will be Canada for five days and then a 7-day cruise!!! AHHH!!! I’m so excited.

Ok, so my last post was quite dramatic and sad. I was having a VERY bad day. As soon as I stopped worrying about it, and continued on with my life, BAM! here he comes. I don’t know all the details yet, but there may be love on the horizon!!!! He took me out to the theater last night to see King Lear. He’s such a gentleman. I’m sooooo excited about this, and I’m scared all at the same time. More details when I feel comfortable!

I LOVE StumbleUpon! For those of you who don’t know what it is, Stumble (for short) is an application that sits as a toolbar in Mozilla Firefox. You predefine catagories that you enjoy, and you just click the Stumble button and BAM! it takes you to all sorts of random places on the internet. I know for myself, sometimes I just need something to do to waste a little time, and Stumble is my solution. If you don’t use Firefox, I highly recommend it. It’s a wonderful browser and it’s highly customizable. One of my favorite things about StumbleUpon is that you can add friends to your toolbar and share websites with each other. There’s a HUGE Stumble community, many of whom I have made friends with. You can find this application at http://www.stumbleupon.com or through the add-on feature in Firefox.
